Video: Insights into the hospital in Caynabo

Long periods of drought in the Horn of Africa have hit people in Somalia’s north hard. Lack of rainfall or only minimal rainfall has dried up the land, destroyed the vegetation and caused animal herds to die of thirst. First of all, we focused on the acute aid with large water pressure drove various villages in northern Somalia. For example, we have supplied over 1,200 families with 136,000 liters of drinking water a week. On a similar scale we have carried out extensive food distribution. In Caynabo we also look after a hospital where we send medical professionals.

In addition to medical work, we continue to train local staff and provide the hospital with medication.
