Within a very short period of time, we were able to open our second Health Post in Somaliland. Until now, patients in the Saraar region had to travel up to 3 hours to the nearest hospitals. These are located in Caynabo and Boro and can often only be reached by foot for the predominantly peasant population. Now, two nurses are taking care of the sick here.
For particularly severe cases which require treatment in hospital, an ambulance is on standby. In this way, we provide access to medical care to the poorest people in the country. After our departure at some point in the future, we will thus be able to hand over a far reaching medical care and support network to the country.
